Alfies Antique Market
When you search for best of Antique Markets in London you will see that one of them is Alfies Antique Market. At Marylebone London it has been founded more than 40 years ago by the owner of Grays Antique Market, Bennie Gray. There are 100 dealers inside of the building and there is Roof Top Cafe at terrace.
This Market is really close to the Marylebone Underground Station, you just need to walk couple of minutes to arrive here from the station.
You can assume that it is a small building but when you get inside you can not believe your eyes as there are 100 dealers inside. To be honest I found this market very original and the stocks are in good condition and dealers have good taste.
The first thing I realised Robinson Antiques, he is selling plates and glasses, normally I am not really interested but he has a good taste. I bought a plate and a tea cup as they were really in good condition and quite rare in the market also I liked the designs as they were made in England.
Left one glasses are for Martini and right one is for liquer.
I have noticed there are beautiful lights in one of the dealers called Sambataro, he is selling mainly Italian and French lights. These lights are Murano from 1960s , price is 490 pound per pair.
He was also selling Murano Glass accessories like the glass cactus below.
When I went upstairs I have noticed beautiful Italian accessories again Murano glass frames, famous Italian designer plates. Dealer is Cupio Gallery, Matthew Moreton. He is so friendly and everything is in good condition but prices are little high.
Another Italian dealer is Vincenzo Caffarella, they sell in two floors and great range of products especially lights, they have good taste.
I saw a dealer who is selling African textiles and worths to visit.
I also liked an art piece which was made from metal in France, price is 1625 pounds.
At the top of the building there is a Roof Top Cafe, you can either eat or drink , there is breakfast and lunch options in the menu.
Alfies Antique Market is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6 pm.
